Saturday 5th September sees Phoenix play Leo's in their inaugral Yorkshire 2 outing.

Unfortunately, Phoenix didnt get to play former player coach Kev Westgarth's Newcastle Gosforth as due to an accident on the A1 the Phoenix coach had failed to breach Pontefract by 1300 and the decision was made to turn around. This did afford Phoenix playin committee a chance to go and see Leo's in action at neighours Thorne, where they narrowly beat Thorne.

Hence, Phoenix will be fielding 2 sides for the start of the season with the 1st XV away and the 2nd XV at home.

It is imperative all players attend training this Tuesday and Thursday (1900 prompt) to afford us the opportunity to get together and allow Doug to pick from strength.
